The Snatch soundtrack CD has become one of my favorite soundtracks I have listened to in a long while.Recently I saw the movie and was captivated by the film’s wonderful array of music and how wellit corresponded with the film’saction sequences. Comparable to “Trainspotting” and “Pulp Fiction,” Snatch’s soundtrack has something for everyone. You will succumb to the diverse arrangements found on this enjoyable album. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself dancing about, or even bouncing up and down in your car seat;wherever you may be, this CD is bound to make you move. The disc starts off with two upbeat tunes that are quite addictive: “Diamond”, by Klint, and “Supermoves” from Overseer. Then the CD proceeds into a superb mix of modern electronica, classic rock, vintage funk and even some blasts from the past such as Bobby Byrd’s classic “Hot Pants (I’m Coming, Coming, I’m Coming)”, the Specials “Ghost Town,” 10cc’s “Dreadlock Holiday” and the Stranglers “Golden Brown”.The movie’s writer / director, Guy Ritchie, (Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) who is also Madonna’s hubby has included one of Madonna’s earlier hits on this disc called “Lucky Star”, however itseems a tad out of place on this funky and eclectic soundtrack.
