Bob Marley

Singer, guitarist and songwriter Bob Nesta Marley was the pioneer of Reggae music and he also ranks as the largest selling reggae artist of all time. Marley was primarily influenced by “The Impressions,” “The Drifters,” “Ray Charles” and “Sam Cooke”. His first record Judge Not was recorded when he was just fourteen years old and his musical success would in due course sky rocket. Marley’s earlier recordings featured uncharacteristic cover tunes including the Tom Jones classic “What’s new Pussycat?” and the Beatles “And I love her.” Marley’s first hit was “Guava Jelly,” which was also covered by Johnny Nash and Barbara Streisand. If you’re a Bob Marley fan and are looking for the ultimate greatest hits package, then this CD is the way to go. Recorded and re-mastered using 24 bit digital technology, the sound is absolutely outstanding. “I know A Place” is the only unreleased song out of the killer twenty tracks on this album, including: “Stir It Up,” Get Up, Stand Up,” “I Shot The Sheriff,” “Lively Up Yourself,” “No Woman, No Cry,” “Roots, Rock, Reggae” and many more. So sit back and take pleasure in the joyous sounds of Bob Marley And The Wailers.
